Rosey Sheer and the Maltese Rocket (Chapter Two) This as yet unpublished novella features Rosey Sheer: a smart-mouthed, tough-talking private eye working in Los Angeles in the 1940s.  A diminutive butch lesbian in a fedora and a man’s suit, Rosey takes up the search for one Dr. Watkins, who has been working on war-related chemistry and has disappeared – leaving behind only a mysterious dildo made of a new and strangely addictive synthetic rubber: Omnipolene.  At this point in our story, Rosey is narrating her search for a plane and pilot to take her to the supposedly deserted island of Xanadu, in search of  Dr. Watkins.  Rosey finds her pilot in the form of the leather-clad, Wagner-singing Lee.
